Is Chiarot slowing Seider down...?

Or, put differently: When is it time to call up Edvinsson and pair him with Seider?

It wouldn't bother me to drop Chiarot to the 3rd pairing... he's here as much for veteran leadership as anything else so... Maybe he can lead Lindstrom into playing better on the 3rd pairing...

all thee Wings forwards up ice from the puck on the Shark's entry on the 1st goal and they never did catch up, eventually leaving leBanc wide open.

The Wings have been all over the Sharks in the parts of the 2nd period that I've seen. Perron finally gets the tying goal.

Gotta be impressed by the effort of Rasmussen. Knocks it to Walman for the go-ahead goal. Very good 2nd period.

Wings seemed to let up after that goal and were hanging on until the intermission. 3-2 Wings after 2.

Veleno! 4-2. I know the Sharks are bad,  but nice to see the Wings consistently a step ahead of the other team.

That Wings goal seems like a blip. Sharks continue their surge.

Somehow the way the Wings have played the past 10 minutes I don’t feel this lead is 100% safe.

7-4 win brings the road trip record to 1-1-1. Shaky second half of the 3rd to say the least though.

Hard to believe the team can't make some improvement their face-out performance, but it's been like this for a while now and doesn't seem to improve. Of course part of the problem is having only one true center.

Definitely. One of those moves that may have made sense at 50,000 ft that still hurts on the ground.

Probably not a popular take here but I disagree.  Faceoffs are overrated and Glendening has the worst possession/advanced statistics of the entire Dallas Stars roster and yet somehow has the 4th highest PDO so his overall numbers could get even worse. I would rather lose faceoffs and have a fourth line with Veleno's and Berggren's who can contribute in all zones theoretically.  Winning a faceoff is nice but if you can't do anything with it afterwards then it really isn't much of an advantage in my opinion.  I really dislike players who's game revolves around being stationary in the defensive zone and hoping the puck hits you, so I fully admit I have always underrated him compared to others.  But in general I think having elite faceoff guys doesn't have as much of an effect on games compared to other areas.  Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

The problem is if they were going to keep him they needed the version that was still <30 yrs old. He had once provided some speed and forechecking but those skills were going to be fading.
