lordstanley Posted November 20, 2022 Author Posted November 20, 2022 Hronek on fire. Roofs one. 4-1 Wings. What a 2nd period. Quote
buddha Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 much better so far. helps to be playing anaheim, san jose, and columbus. Quote

I'm realizing how much I've missed having the Wings be able to play competitive hockey at least some of the time.... Quote

True, but almost half the teams in the league are average to poor. If the Wings can pile up the points against them, they'll end up in the 80s if not the 90s How about those NJ Devils? What the heck is going no there? Quote

gehringer_2 Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 (edited) Bertuzzi still not at near full tilt. Still expecting more upside there ...shortly. LOL - I no more than post that and he scores! Edited November 20, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote
1984Echoes Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 and Seider is trying to break out of his slow start with 3 assists tonight... Quote
lordstanley Posted November 20, 2022 Author Posted November 20, 2022 Is this the Wings’ first blowout win of the year? Seems to me there may have been one before. Quote
buddha Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 i wonder how johnny gaudreau feels about his decision now? i know the taxes in canada are high and the weather is terrible, but now you play for a crappy team AND you have to live in OHIO. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Wings up 2 -0 going into the third but the Copp line still playing some terrible D. Quote
ben9753 Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) Husso was great. If he keeps it up he’ll be in the Vezina discussion. Edited November 24, 2022 by ben9753 Quote

Should have been about 5-2 Preds - way too many defensive breakdowns by forwards- many while Copp/Bert/Sundqvuist were on the ice. Quote
lordstanley Posted November 24, 2022 Author Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) When was the last time the Wings and Lions both had won three straight at the same time? Wings are 1 pt out of the NHL's Top 5 overall. Edited November 24, 2022 by lordstanley Quote
buddha Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 the schedule gets tougher next month... good win with the usual formula: outplayed five on five but played well on special teams and got good goaltending. Quote
buddha Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 hronek's resurgence is nice to see. i'd almost written him off as unsalvageable after the last two seasons but he's been great this year. Quote

It would be nice if Bertuzzi would start to break out of it. He's yet to show the disruptive harassing/forecheck/stick in the lane presence that has been his forte. Quote

I think Bertuzzi and Zadina are running out of time to prove to Stevie Y that they should remain Detroit Red Wings past this season... Just a guess... Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 I think you can start considering playoffs, but there is one thing in the way............their backup goalie is not very good. Quote
Shinzaki Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I think Bert gets dealt. Would love a draft pick in return...when Fabbri gets back I'm think Elmer (assuming he's healthy) gets sent down. Zadina is going to have a very hard time finding a spot in this line up Quote
