Yes it was basically fronting half the credit now for next years taxes...so not technically "paying it back" they will get 50% less in the credit than they would have.  It is not "free money".

I just looked it up myself.  At a Nascar event recently, the winning driver was Brandon somebody.  As he was being interviewed afterwards, all the rednecks in the stands are chanting "f you Biden", so either Brandon or the interviewer said that they thought that the chant was "let's go Brandon".  So now if you are a douchebag and want to say "f you Biden", or paint it on the back of your dress, you just say "let's go Brandon" and all the other racist mother******* laugh uproariously at how clever you are.

The interviewer, who has a producer in her one ear, trying to ask questions, and drown out the noise behind her, didn't realize what was being said and thought it was "Let's go Brandon", IMO.  If you listen to the interview, it's very clear what was being said though, so the belief of many on the right was that she was trying to cover up for Biden.

As such, "Let's go Brandon" blew up a bit on the right.  So, if you say this, you're a horrible douchebag, obviously a racist, and just an overall bad person for saying something so foul on TV.  Conversely, if you "Fuck Trump" at the Tony's, you get a standing ovation.
