Isn’t their entire 1st line essentially out?  Panic I guess but how many teams can handle that?

They’re definitely short-handed so some good reasons for this bad stretch. But disappointed a promising season might go off the rails.

not looking good.  good teams have beaten them easily and now to drop points at home to the sens?  

husso is no longer bailing you out.  things looks bleak with all the injuries to some of their best players.

Well, since the Lions are the one team down there with no direct link to the Illitches, I think they are free of that curse.   The Bobby Curse may still be alive, however.   We'll know in the next three weeks.

All that work for the Wings to build and maintain a 2-0 goal lead for almost 2 periods, only for it to go poof in 11 seconds.

Can the Wings hang on for a point? Caps have been the better team by considerable margin. 3-3 with 2:19 to go in 3rd.

I think Czarnik just cleared waivers so I doubt anyone would give up anything of value for him because he makes less thank $800k so it isn't his contract.  They kept him up and played him even though he cleared.  My best guess is that he's skating hard so Lalonde doesn't want to scratch him.  Elmer hasn't played a NHL length schedule in his career yet so it could make sense to manage his workload but I thought he looked fine the previous game from what I saw.

I'm feeling a bit anxious regarding the Wings, I wonder how Yzerman is viewing this season after making offseason moves to contend for the playoffs a bit.  Does he ship off assets to get value for them while the team seems to be stalling or does he bring in more help?  Guys coming back from injuries are our acquisitions?  Wings have been awful at 5 on 5 for the most part lately so something has to give.

there is plenty of time left to climb back into if they are going to start playing better with Elmer, Vrana and Fabbri all available. That's the tough call to guess at now though.

Czarnik is going back to Grand Rapids so hopefully someone is close to coming back.  We need some firepower.

so they gave him the 'goodbye' game. Almost seems to be some kind of Wings' tradition to give a bencher the game before they send him out.
