I have not checked myself.  But I read all of the old MTV Unplugged episodes are now streaming on Paramount+.  The article said VH1 Storytellers is also streaming there.

She claimed it wasn't intentional.  I think I read she has been charged with assault.

This is very odd.  It looked deliberate, but then her arm kept flailing afer she hit her (even after she dropped the baton) and then she stopped running.  My guess is she wanted to hit her to throw her off stride (which is of course very wrong) and then realized she hit her a lot harder than she had intended.

Sometimes something really good comes from a place you would not expect. A place not known for culinary fare beyond a frozen beverage. But the K-Mart Sub Sandwich was a masterpiece. Just the right amount of juice, just the right amount of oregano. I miss the K-Mart Sub Sandwich, and I have yet to find it's equal.

Great, now if they could finally ****ing finish ****ing up Oakwood, that would be grand.   I mean, how long does it take?   Funny thing about it is I almost NEVER see anyone out there working on the road.     Plus the traffic lights on Oakwood are stupidly long.   THERE IS ALMOST NO FOOT TRAFFIC CROSSING OAKWOOD BOULEVARD !   Why do the red lights need to be 4 minutes long?

I can't believe you fall for this garbage.   Especially in the A.I. era.    You  Rounders will eat anything they feed you.    Tell me how the water does not fall off !   And do you mean to tell me  you have people in South America and New Zealand walking upside down?   How does that work.  You damned Rounders.

Have you noticed the perp in interviews?   Not a word about how the victim is doing.  Only about how this effects HER.  Not a stich of remorse.    She needs to spend a few nights in jail, not a long time, but a few nights.  She needs to be banned for life from track events.   Sorry, I know it was a momentary lapse in judgement, but she cracked the girl's skull and it was 100% intentional.   Should it ruin her whole high school and college track career?  Yes, it should. This was brutal.      Watch, schools will switch to plastic lightweight batons now - all because of this spoiled brat.

And, I am sure that in the history of track someone, somewhere has used a baton to strike an opponent or jab them in the ribs, but it wasn't caught on camera.

Side note - I was talking about this yesterday at work.   How does anyone get away with anything anymore?  There are cameras everywhere.    In our neighborhood a porch pirate got caught because the cops went to every house with a doorbell or dash cam and tracked the guy right to his own house where they found dozens of amazon boxes.   Ripping off his own neighbors.  What a great guy.  Most detective work now is probably looking at doorbell cams, security cams, traffic cams.  And these cameras get better all the time.  Going to be easier to spot details like tattoos, decals on cars and license plates.   Part of that is scary, but it probably means fewer people get away with stuff.    Privacy?  Oh, that's dead and buried.

This seems like a reasonable hypothesis. I doubt she’s a thug who simply wanted to hurt someone, since a similar incident would probably have come out way before this race in her now-finished running career. She may have had a loose cannon frustration moment that she immediately realized went too far, then exaggerated her arm motion afree wards after as if to communicate to everyone, “See? I swing my baton arm wild like this all the time. Not really my fault.”

If she did have a similar incident before this, then the racer-vetting process for this event totally failed.

A spur of the moment of rage that overtakes logic and reason, like it's not even you doing it...... kind of like when Clemens threw the bat at Piazza in the world series.

We had trouble believing his story about it, too. And he wasn't even a black woman. 😏

Here is how I used to make money with the lottery.

A local speakeasy I used to frequent had two lottery machines (Ohio) where you could buy all sorts of tickets, including Keno.  Beside the two machines (which could also check for winning tickets by reading the bar code) was a trash can. Or, you might say, the pot of gold.

I would grab a handful of tickets when I was there and scan the ticket (losing ticket) into my Ohio Lottery phone app. Each ticket was 5 points for the most part. You could scan 1200 points a month. I used two phones so I could double up.

Once I got to 10,000 points I would redeem them for a $100 gas card. So about every 4 months I got a hundred bucks in free gas. Some thought I was nuts for diving in the trash but I could care less. Free money is a good thing. 🙂
