Why would it just affect the quarter pounder if it was due to the onions?  Do they get a different kind of onion from other burgers?

Raccoons are assholes.  I ran over one that scurried out in front of me.  3 days and 150 miles later, my Grand Am engine light pops on and it starts running funny.  The raccoon cost me $2,200 in radiator and condenser related damages.  It’s like I ran over a damn oversized bowling ball.

Yes. QP gets a normal diced onion. Big Mac, double cheeseburger, hamburger, and cheeseburger get the little reconstituted onions. 

At least that is how it was 34 years ago when I worked there in high school.

I knew there would be a good answer.  Makes sense.  The $2 double cheeseburgers (plain, 2 of them) was my go to after Tiger games at 11:30 pm after dropping my buddy off at his house.  Can eat while driving.  No mess. Those were the days.

So great on Letterman too.  Casting her as Phoebe's mom on Friends was genius as that character is her spiritual daughter.... I mean if Friends were made in 1977 that's who'd you cast, right?

I live on a cul-de-sac, so we get together with the neighbors and all setup in one driveway in the front of the cul-de-sac. When the kids come up, we tell them to take one from each bowl (there's seven or eight bowls). We are all eating, drinking and talking, and so not paying much attention. It was rainy anyway, so there weren't a lot of kids. Anyway, this one kid came back to the table AT LEAST seven times. Always with the same "Trick or treat" and look on his face, like he was there for the first time. It was quite funny. He was probably nine or ten. He had (I assume) his brother with him the first few times, but by the end it was just him.

I swear the last couple of times he didn't get more than a house away before he turned around and came back. 🤣

“Schooner Tuna.  The little can with the big heart.”  I think that was the tag line that her role came up with for that commercial that was shown at the end of the movie.  That’s probably one of the earliest movies that I can remember.

I don't know what your local Kroger's plays on their music system, but our local Mariano's, which is owned by Kroger, is really leaning into a very specific genre: early to mid-1970s deep cut Billboard hits. Songs you heard for maybe four or six weeks at the time and you haven't heard since. Just in the past few weeks, I heard them play "Backfield in Motion", "Break Up to Make Up", "Midnight at the Oasis", and "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia". It's as though they have narrowly targeted the store music to guys in their 60s who were obsessed with AM hit music when they were 12. I half expect them to play "The Streak" and "Shaving Cream" next time I'm there.

Can't say I've ever heard music on at either of the closest Kroger's to my house - and glad of it!
