Perhaps too ambitious and we'll never know but they have a team built for playoff football and a ton of belief. Too bad that Mayfield has a noodle arm and that the refs decided to call a couple of phantom calls against the Rams. I agree. Every team in the NFC playoff field is breathing a sigh of relief that Seattle got in and not Detroit or AA-rod. Quote
mtutiger Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 He's a divisive figure, but even if the stats don't show it (they didn't for the half of famer on the other side either), I thought Goff showed a lot of leadership and played a pretty clean game in a high pressure situation. They earned this one. Packers made too many mistakes, Lions came to play and win Quote

Weird how much different this team feels from Schwartz's or Caldwell's teams. This team feels like it's building toward something more. Even when those teams won, it felt like they were playing over their heads. I suppose if this team fails to get better next year we'll have to chalk up the feeling to fool's gold like in the past, but Holmes' drafts and the draft capital he still has to spend make me doubt we will. Motor City Sonics Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 G P S GAME PLAY SPEED Its some secret metric that Brad Holmes has to analyze players. Seems like it might be working Quote
1984Echoes Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 And we haven't even truly UNLEASHED Jameson Williams just quite yet... 2023...! Quote

romad1 Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Aaron Rogers lost the game because he's old and a jerk. The Packers blew the game with their unsportsmanlike play. So, really the Packers suck. 1 1 Quote

Packers made too many mistakes, Lions came to play and win Yeah there's no sugar coating Goff did not play very well(even though if you add that 75 yard Jamo TD that was taken away his numbers would look alot better) but he didn't turn the ball over and he made some big 3rd/4th down throws. If your QB plays like that in a "bad game" in tough conditions then you can live with it, especially if you have a strong running game like we have and should continue to have in the near future. buddha Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 even with the refs on their usual pro-packers bullshit the lions still won. good on em. if only the refs in seattle had played fair. 1 Quote

RandyMarsh Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 It's BS that an 8-9 Bucs team is not only in the playoffs but gets to host the 1st round. Quote

Based on the interview tonight and his previous interviews he isn't going anywhere. I look the Lions to resign most of their own guys. Reload in the draft and we will see what happens in free agency. Most pressing need is secondary. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 BTW what happened to Bombers? Did he get banned or something cause I haven't seen him on here in a while. I figured he'd be on here basking in the glory of the Lions strong finish with us. Quote
