buddha Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 buggs was pretty decent last year, except for the carolina game where everyone sucked. Quote

Buggs is better than to get left with nothing. Very different players, I don't think signing Buggs has much effect on Cominsky re-signing. Glad to have Buggs back, nice cheap deal too. I would have figured they would want to do them right and cut them early so they can latch on with another team. Got to think that one of them will be gone today. My gut says they like Harris better but we will find out. Will be very surprised to see them keep both. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 FWIW Buggs seemed to be a real leader for the defense if you put any stock into those lockerroom or pre game vids the Lions were posting. Felt like Buggs was often the one leading the speeches or giving the pep talks to fire up the team. Quote

I think Cominsky is worth twice as much as Buggs which is why I think he could very well go somewhere else, there will be a pretty stout market for him. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Buggs apparently was one of the players who called the players only meeting when they were 1-6. He seems to be the culture fit that Holmes and Campbell like. Quote
Tigeraholic1 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I really think we roll with the TE's we got and maybe take one in the later rounds. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 still no word from Aaron Rodgers. He's holding the Packers hostage and I'm here for it. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I would be very amused if the Jets signed washed up players like Cobb, Mercedes Lewis, and Robert Tonyan and he decides to retire. Quote
Hongbit Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 He can’t retire and pass up $60M, right. It’s not like he’s a Brady, Brees, or Gronk that can move right into a play by play booth for silly money. Nobody wants to hear him talk about anything. Quote
Shinzaki Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 If you're going the trade route...I'd rather target big play Slay than Ramsey. Assuming Philly is open to trading him Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Tampering period has been open for over 10 minutes now and Holmes hasn't signed a single free agent. Quote

Can't speak for the TweetER, but the tweet is probably pretty accurate that Jackson will be owed a pretty hefty extension pretty soon. Quote

He is a pro-bowl caliber Guard if he can stay healthy hes in for a huge pay day for sure. Going to be hard for Lions to pay all these guys on the O-line. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Austin Ekeler is requesting to speak with other teams involving a trade. Quote

Going to be hard for Lions to pay all these guys on the O-line. Hopefully you'll be able to draft/develop a replacement(s) at some point so you don't need to pay them all. To me as good as Jackson is he is a guy that you should be able to find in any given draft if you scout right whereas somebody like Sewell isn't going to be as easy to find so if I'm allotting a certain amount to the oline I'm using that on Sewell and looking to draft or find cheaper replacements elsewhere on the line.
